About the Company Mijeong Food Corporation has been specialized in producing noodles for 46 years with main office and plant located in Gyeongju, ancient capital city of Silla dynasty.  It has been putting efforts into making Korea traditional food valued and loved by consumers, for which it has upgraded the traditional healthy food with high-tech sanitation and advanced product development capabilities. Most recently, the company has developed rice noodles to meet the consumer demands on healthy food without wheat flour. Especially, the instant rice noodles are produced under collaboration with Korea Food Research Institute (KFRI), one of the government organizations. Dec 2008; Chosen “superior agricultural product” by Gyeongbuk province Oct 2008; “rice jajang (black bean sauce) noodle” chosen as top 10 rice-processed food 000 2008; Acquire HACCP approval (Korea Food and Drug Administration) Aug 2008; Completion of plant extension work Nov 2007; Develop noodle with 80% rice (no wheat flour) under collaboration with KFRI for the first time in Korea Oct 2007; Supply rice cakes <Charm-rice cake soup, “Freshian” branded tteokbokki (rice cakes in hot sauce), saeng-kalguksu (fresh chopped noodles)> to CJ Food Group Apr 2007; Secure patent rights related to producing noodles (#10-0710783) Feb 2007; Acquire “INNOBIZ” from SMBA Jan 2006; Acquire “KS” first time in Korea on instant rice noodles, spaghetti/Jajang sauce. Supply “Wiselect” to Lotte department stores (PB) Oct 2005; Supply “spaghetti” to Army. Set up sauce production line <for spaghetti sauce and Jajang sauce (black bean sauce)> Jan 2005; Enter into OEM contract with DAERIM Fishery Feb 2004; Acquire “Defense Quality Approval” on instant rice noodles by Defense Quality Assurance Agency.           Jeong Ki-Tae takes office as representing director Sep 2003; Acquire “Clean Workplace” approval from the Labor ministry Dec 2002; Acquire ISO 9001 certificate. Develop instant rice noodles (supply to Army) Apr 2001; Move HQ and plant to Nawaon-ri, Hyeongok-myeon, Gyeongju city Dec 2000; Start selling through Samsung Homeplus stores Aug 2000; Turn to legal body, making noodles (cold noodles, jjolmyeon (hot and chewy noodles)) and rice cakes (tteokguk (rick-cake soup), tteokbokki (rice cakes in hot sauce)) 1962; Establish “Cheong-a foods”, making rice cakes and noodles
